We are delighted you have chosen to look into Friendship House
for your childcare needs. We know you will be pleased
with the quality of care your child will receive.
Friendship House, a not-for-profit child care center, has been serving the McHenry County area since 1965. From its origin as a part of the First Congregational Church to its incorporation in 1982 and expansion into the Lakeside Center in 1978, we have gained valuable insight into meeting the needs of both parents and children. Our director and staff are here for you and your child.
Please come to us with any suggestions, concerns,
or comments you might have.
Learning through discovery is our philosophy. By providing an environment that is rich in materials our programs allow each child the opportunity to experience a variety of new and challenging concepts.
Through play and self discovery, each child will be encouraged to expand and develop a greater sense of self awareness, self expression, and self esteem. Intellectual and physical abilities will be challenged as well, as each child explores the environment.
Our mission is to provide quality childcare to children 6 weeks through 12 years. We provide a safe, nurturing environment that promotes acceptance and achievement in each child. Childcare is offered to all children regardless of race, creed, or economic circumstances. Care is provided by professionals trained in developmentally appropriate early childhood practices.

Finding good quality child care is very hard to find. After interviewing sitters & visiting other centers, I decided to visit Friendship House. My son attended their summer camp
program which he loved & kept him busy!!
My daughters have been with Friendship House for 4 yrs now. We adore the staff, and love it here!!!
