As a nonprofit childcare center, Friendship House has proudly served families throughout McHenry County since 1965. What began as a ministry of First Congregational Church has grown into a trusted community resource dedicated to supporting children and their families. Since our incorporation in 1982 and expansion into the Lakeside Center, we have continued to build upon decades of experience, adapting to the evolving needs of the families we serve while remaining true to our mission of quality childcare and early education.

Our dedicated team of educators and caregivers understands that every child is unique. We strive to create meaningful experiences that foster confidence, curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. From infancy through school age, we partner with families to support each child's developmental journey in a warm and welcoming environment.
